# MT Browser vs uDown

The clearest difference is ads: uDown at none against MT Browser's shown. MT Browser's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (49% vs 36%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MT Browser sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and uDown sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for MT Browser against 4.2 for uDown. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MT Browser has 2.1K ratings behind it against 283, so its average is the more settled of the two.
