# WriterDuet vs CreateATL

The clearest difference is rating: CreateATL at 5.0 against WriterDuet's 3.1. CreateATL also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). WriterDuet's advantage is ratings volume (81 vs 9) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CreateATL holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WriterDuet has 81 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.

WriterDuet ships an update every 2 months, CreateATL every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
