# 12 Steps Guide vs PinkCloud Timer

The clearest difference is monetization model: PinkCloud Timer at free with in-app purchases against 12 Steps Guide's subscription. PinkCloud Timer also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 months). 12 Steps Guide's advantage is ratings volume (3.3K vs 3) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 12 Steps Guide sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year and PinkCloud Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

12 Steps Guide holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 12 Steps Guide has 3.3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

12 Steps Guide ships an update every 3 months, PinkCloud Timer every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
