# Moodo vs Home

The clearest difference is rating: Home at 5.0 against Moodo's 3.8. Moodo's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 17 months) and ratings volume (96 vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Home holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moodo has 96 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of Moodo's written reviews are positive against 23% of Home's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Moodo ships an update every 3 weeks, Home every 17 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
