# GoToMyPC vs SOS On

The clearest difference is rating: SOS On at 5.0 against GoToMyPC's 4.2. SOS On also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). GoToMyPC's advantage is ratings volume (323 vs 1) and review sentiment (64% vs 50%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SOS On holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GoToMyPC has 323 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of GoToMyPC's written reviews are positive against 50% of SOS On's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GoToMyPC ships an update every 5 months, SOS On every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
