# Paint Warhammer vs Harley

The clearest difference is rating: Harley at 4.8 against Paint Warhammer's 3.5. Harley also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (40K vs 546). Paint Warhammer's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 34%) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Harley holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Harley has 40K ratings behind it against 546, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Paint Warhammer's written reviews are positive against 34% of Harley's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Paint Warhammer ships an update every 5 weeks, Harley every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
