# IIITBooks vs Almathani

The clearest difference is update cadence: Almathani at every 2 days against IIITBooks's every 4 months. IIITBooks's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

IIITBooks ships an update every 4 months, Almathani every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
