# SALUS vs GlowStone Lighting Plus

The clearest difference is rating: GlowStone Lighting Plus at 3.0 against SALUS's 2.5. GlowStone Lighting Plus also leads on iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.0). SALUS's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (23 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GlowStone Lighting Plus holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SALUS has 23 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of SALUS's written reviews are positive against 28% of GlowStone Lighting Plus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SALUS ships an update fortnightly, GlowStone Lighting Plus every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
