# AimCam Pro vs TargetIR

The clearest difference is rating: TargetIR at 4.1 against AimCam Pro's 2.6. TargetIR also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). AimCam Pro's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 28%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TargetIR holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 2.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of AimCam Pro's written reviews are positive against 28% of TargetIR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AimCam Pro ships an update every 3 months, TargetIR every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
