# Focus timer vs Super Memo

The clearest difference is update cadence: Super Memo at every 5 days against Focus timer's every 5 weeks. Super Memo also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Focus timer's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Super Memo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Super Memo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focus timer has 1.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Focus timer ships an update every 5 weeks, Super Memo every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
