# Ballderdash vs Marbles Ricochet

The clearest difference is update cadence: Marbles Ricochet at weekly against Ballderdash's every 2 months. Ballderdash's advantage is ratings volume (8 vs 1) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 11.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ballderdash sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Marbles Ricochet sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Ballderdash against 5.0 for Marbles Ricochet. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ballderdash has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ballderdash ships an update every 2 months, Marbles Ricochet weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
