# Brainquire vs MentalUP

Brainquire and MentalUP both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 71% of MentalUP's written reviews are positive against 37% of Brainquire's. MentalUP also leads on ratings volume (38K vs 85) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brainquire sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and MentalUP sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Brainquire against 4.7 for MentalUP. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MentalUP has 38K ratings behind it against 85, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 37% of Brainquire's written reviews are positive against 71% of MentalUP's.

Brainquire ships an update every 2 months, MentalUP every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
