# GPS Connect + vs GPS

The clearest difference is update cadence: GPS Connect + at every 3 months against GPS's every 11 months. GPS Connect + also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GPS Connect + ships an update every 3 months, GPS every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
