# Gold Mine vs Power Dig

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Gold Mine at 72% against Power Dig's 23%. Gold Mine also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). Power Dig's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gold Mine sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Power Dig sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Power Dig holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3.7K and 6.2K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Gold Mine's written reviews are positive against 23% of Power Dig's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Gold Mine ships an update fortnightly, Power Dig every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
