# Neuron E vs SCOOTY

The clearest difference is monetization model: Neuron E at free against SCOOTY's free with in-app purchases. Neuron E also leads on ratings volume (2.8K vs 25) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Neuron E holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Neuron E has 2.8K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 45% of Neuron E's written reviews are positive against 44% of SCOOTY's.

Neuron E ships an update fortnightly, SCOOTY every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
