# MOD Pizza vs Roost Coffee

The clearest difference is ads: Roost Coffee at none against MOD Pizza's shown. Roost Coffee also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). MOD Pizza's advantage is ratings volume (214K vs 7) and chart position (#181 vs unranked). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for MOD Pizza against 5.0 for Roost Coffee. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MOD Pizza has 214K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MOD Pizza ships an update every 3 months, Roost Coffee monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
