# Shengye vs SERecorder

The clearest difference is rating: SERecorder at 5.0 against Shengye's 3.6. SERecorder also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). Shengye's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (10 vs 2). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shengye sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. SERecorder asks for nothing beyond the download.

SERecorder holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shengye has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Shengye ships an update every 6 days, SERecorder every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
