# Bored Chat vs TIYA

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Bored Chat at 70% against TIYA's 33%. Bored Chat also leads on rating (4.1 vs 3.7) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 11 days). TIYA's advantage is ratings volume (10K vs 1.8K) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bored Chat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and TIYA sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bored Chat holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TIYA has 10K ratings behind it against 1.8K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of Bored Chat's written reviews are positive against 33% of TIYA's.

Bored Chat ships an update every 3 days, TIYA every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
