# Scan vs OPENCatman

The clearest difference is rating: Scan at 4.8 against OPENCatman's 1.0. Scan also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 1) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months). OPENCatman's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scan sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. OPENCatman asks for nothing beyond the download.
