# Mimizaur vs BrushBuddy

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BrushBuddy at none against Mimizaur's 11. BrushBuddy also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 5 weeks). Mimizaur's advantage is ratings volume (912 vs 23). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mimizaur sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. BrushBuddy asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mimizaur holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mimizaur has 912 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Mimizaur's written reviews are positive against 82% of BrushBuddy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mimizaur ships an update every 5 weeks, BrushBuddy daily. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
