# DAGPS vs ESET VPN

The clearest difference is rating: ESET VPN at 4.3 against DAGPS's 3.2. ESET VPN also leads on review sentiment (42% vs 17%) and ratings volume (502 vs 61). DAGPS's advantage is monetization model (free vs subscription). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ESET VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ESET VPN has 502 ratings behind it against 61, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 17% of DAGPS's written reviews are positive against 42% of ESET VPN's.

DAGPS ships an update every 2 months, ESET VPN every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
