# iWordSmart vs Speed calculation

The clearest difference is ads: iWordSmart at none against Speed calculation's shown. iWordSmart also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months) and iOS requirement (13.1 vs 16.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iWordSmart sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Speed calculation sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iWordSmart ships an update every 3 weeks, Speed calculation every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
