# PVF Reference vs HazMat

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PVF Reference at none against HazMat's 3. PVF Reference also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 18.6). HazMat's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HazMat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. PVF Reference asks for nothing beyond the download.

PVF Reference holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HazMat has 1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
