# HD Wallpapers vs Live Wallpaper Maker

The clearest difference is update cadence: Live Wallpaper Maker at every 2 weeks against HD Wallpapers's every 8 months. Live Wallpaper Maker also leads on ratings volume (500 vs 25). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HD Wallpapers sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Live Wallpaper Maker sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for HD Wallpapers against 4.6 for Live Wallpaper Maker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Live Wallpaper Maker has 500 ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HD Wallpapers ships an update every 8 months, Live Wallpaper Maker every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
