# Oriole vs OutLink

The clearest difference is monetization model: OutLink at freemium against Oriole's subscription. OutLink also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 43%). Oriole's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (221 vs 22). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Oriole sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and OutLink sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Oriole against 4.5 for OutLink. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Oriole has 221 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 43% of Oriole's written reviews are positive against 67% of OutLink's.

Oriole ships an update weekly, OutLink every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
