# Oriole vs VX Proxy Client

Oriole and VX Proxy Client both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 86% of VX Proxy Client's written reviews are positive against 43% of Oriole's. VX Proxy Client also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and device support (4 vs 2). Oriole's advantage is ratings volume (221 vs 14). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Oriole sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and VX Proxy Client sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Oriole holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Oriole has 221 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Oriole's written reviews are positive against 86% of VX Proxy Client's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Oriole ships an update weekly, VX Proxy Client every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
