# Tip vs GutFreunde

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tip at every 6 weeks against GutFreunde's every 7 months. GutFreunde's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tip sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and GutFreunde sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tip ships an update every 6 weeks, GutFreunde every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
