# Tip vs Called

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Called at none against Tip's 3. Called also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (370 vs 5). Tip's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tip sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Called asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tip holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Called has 370 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tip ships an update every 6 weeks, Called every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
