# Steam Link vs DAT GAME

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DAT GAME at 100% against Steam Link's 43%. DAT GAME also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.3). Steam Link's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (3K vs 5). On price, update cadence, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DAT GAME sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Steam Link asks for nothing beyond the download.

DAT GAME holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Steam Link has 3K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Steam Link ships an update every 3 weeks, DAT GAME every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
