# Emoji Diary vs Eiary

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Emoji Diary at none against Eiary's 2. Emoji Diary also leads on ratings volume (17 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). Eiary's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 5 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Eiary sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. Emoji Diary asks for nothing beyond the download.

Eiary holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Emoji Diary has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Emoji Diary ships an update every 5 weeks, Eiary every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
