# Measure Map vs SurfacePro

The clearest difference is ads: SurfacePro at none against Measure Map's shown. SurfacePro also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Measure Map's advantage is ratings volume (5.3K vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Measure Map sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per year and SurfacePro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SurfacePro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Measure Map has 5.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Measure Map ships an update every 2 weeks, SurfacePro monthly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
