# MyLOFT vs GU

The clearest difference is rating: GU at 5.0 against MyLOFT's 4.0. GU also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). MyLOFT's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GU holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyLOFT has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MyLOFT ships an update fortnightly, GU every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
