# Lure vs FlashRead

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FlashRead at 100% against Lure's 28%. FlashRead also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 14.0). Lure's advantage is ratings volume (10K vs 67) and chart position (#179 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lure sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and FlashRead sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FlashRead holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lure has 10K ratings behind it against 67, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 28% of Lure's written reviews are positive against 100% of FlashRead's.

Lure ships an update every 10 days, FlashRead every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
