# Lure vs Chereads

The clearest difference is ads: Chereads at none against Lure's shown. Chereads also leads on review sentiment (55% vs 28%). Lure's advantage is ratings volume (10K vs 1.9K). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lure sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Chereads sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Lure against 4.5 for Chereads. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lure has 10K ratings behind it against 1.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 28% of Lure's written reviews are positive against 55% of Chereads's.

Lure ships an update every 10 days, Chereads every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
