# Lure vs MangaMax

The clearest difference is rating: Lure at 4.5 against MangaMax's 3.3. Lure also leads on ratings volume (10K vs 50) and review sentiment (28% vs 13%). MangaMax's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lure sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and MangaMax sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $129.00 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lure holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lure has 10K ratings behind it against 50, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 28% of Lure's written reviews are positive against 13% of MangaMax's.

Lure ships an update every 10 days, MangaMax every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
