# Digital Diaries vs EthOS

Digital Diaries and EthOS both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 84% of EthOS's written reviews are positive against 67% of Digital Diaries's. EthOS also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). Digital Diaries's advantage is ratings volume (230 vs 42). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Digital Diaries holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Digital Diaries has 230 ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Digital Diaries's written reviews are positive against 84% of EthOS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Digital Diaries ships an update every 5 weeks, EthOS every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
