# WeCroak vs Spuren

The clearest difference is rating: Spuren at 5.0 against WeCroak's 4.0. Spuren also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks). WeCroak's advantage is ratings volume (377 vs 1) and device support (6 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WeCroak sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Spuren sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spuren holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WeCroak has 377 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

WeCroak ships an update every 2 weeks, Spuren every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
