# SubTime vs Soccer Scoreboard

The clearest difference is update cadence: SubTime at every 3 weeks against Soccer Scoreboard's every 23 months. SubTime also leads on ratings volume (729 vs 11) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). Soccer Scoreboard's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 80%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SubTime sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and Soccer Scoreboard sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for SubTime against 4.7 for Soccer Scoreboard. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SubTime has 729 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of SubTime's written reviews are positive against 100% of Soccer Scoreboard's.

SubTime ships an update every 3 weeks, Soccer Scoreboard every 23 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
