# SubTime vs PlayBall

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PlayBall at none against SubTime's 8. PlayBall also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). SubTime's advantage is ratings volume (710 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SubTime sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. PlayBall asks for nothing beyond the download.

PlayBall holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SubTime has 710 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
