# SubTime vs MatchDay Coach

The clearest difference is rating: SubTime at 4.7 against MatchDay Coach's 4.0. SubTime also leads on ratings volume (729 vs 4). MatchDay Coach's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SubTime sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and MatchDay Coach sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SubTime holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SubTime has 729 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SubTime ships an update every 3 weeks, MatchDay Coach every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
