# Aqara Home vs Firevault

The clearest difference is rating: Aqara Home at 4.7 against Firevault's 3.4. Aqara Home also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Firevault sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Aqara Home asks for nothing beyond the download.

Aqara Home holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aqara Home has 7.8K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Aqara Home's written reviews are positive against 47% of Firevault's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
