# Sub vs Silver Creek Valley

The clearest difference is rating: Sub at 4.4 against Silver Creek Valley's 3.4. Sub also leads on ratings volume (786 vs 5) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 5 months). Silver Creek Valley's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 15%) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sub holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sub has 786 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of Sub's written reviews are positive against 50% of Silver Creek Valley's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sub ships an update every 5 weeks, Silver Creek Valley every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
