# Skimmer Pro vs Inspector Dottie

The clearest difference is rating: Skimmer Pro at 4.6 against Inspector Dottie's 4.0. Skimmer Pro also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Inspector Dottie's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Skimmer Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Skimmer Pro has 3.8K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Skimmer Pro's written reviews are positive against 50% of Inspector Dottie's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Skimmer Pro ships an update every 8 days, Inspector Dottie every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
