# Bitgram vs Tangram

The clearest difference is rating: Bitgram at 4.8 against Tangram's 4.0. Bitgram also leads on ratings volume (11 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Tangram's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 9 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 80%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bitgram sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Tangram sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bitgram holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bitgram has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Bitgram's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tangram's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bitgram ships an update every 9 months, Tangram monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
