# HUE vs Huestery

The clearest difference is rating: HUE at 5.0 against Huestery's 4.7. Huestery's advantage is ratings volume (33 vs 2) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HUE holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Huestery has 33 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of HUE's written reviews are positive against 100% of Huestery's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HUE ships an update every 3 months, Huestery monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
