# Luna Display vs MetaGrid Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Luna Display at 4.8 against MetaGrid Pro's 4.0. Luna Display also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 20) and ratings volume (4K vs 26). MetaGrid Pro's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MetaGrid Pro sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Luna Display asks for nothing beyond the download.

Luna Display holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Luna Display has 4K ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 76% of Luna Display's written reviews are positive against 65% of MetaGrid Pro's.

Luna Display ships an update every 2 months, MetaGrid Pro every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
