# NetGuard for Secure WiFi Proxy vs VPN Hypernet

The clearest difference is rating: VPN Hypernet at 4.5 against NetGuard for Secure WiFi Proxy's 3.1. VPN Hypernet also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (376 vs 24). NetGuard for Secure WiFi Proxy's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (88% vs 72%). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NetGuard for Secure WiFi Proxy sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and VPN Hypernet sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN Hypernet holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Hypernet has 376 ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of NetGuard for Secure WiFi Proxy's written reviews are positive against 72% of VPN Hypernet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
