# Knitting Chart vs Knitting Buddy 2

Knitting Chart and Knitting Buddy 2 both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Knitting Buddy 2's written reviews are positive against 51% of Knitting Chart's. Knitting Chart's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 11) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Knitting Chart sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Knitting Buddy 2 sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Knitting Buddy 2 holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Knitting Chart has 1.3K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 51% of Knitting Chart's written reviews are positive against 100% of Knitting Buddy 2's.

Knitting Chart ships an update every 10 days, Knitting Buddy 2 every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
