# Knitting Chart vs iStitcher

The clearest difference is rating: Knitting Chart at 4.3 against iStitcher's 3.8. Knitting Chart also leads on ratings volume (1.3K vs 15) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Knitting Chart sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and iStitcher sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Knitting Chart holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Knitting Chart has 1.3K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 51% of Knitting Chart's written reviews are positive against 50% of iStitcher's.

Knitting Chart ships an update every 10 days, iStitcher every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
