# COSI Science vs PodCE

The clearest difference is rating: PodCE at 5.0 against COSI Science's 4.0. PodCE also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). COSI Science's advantage is monetization model (free vs paid) and ratings volume (28 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PodCE holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: COSI Science has 28 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

COSI Science ships an update every 2 months, PodCE every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
